Italgas, always fully committed to the training of personnel in the companies operating in the distribution and sale of gas, offers the possibility of carrying out training courses adapted to specific professional needs, as well as all the training initiatives available in our catalogue that comprise the development and updating procedures of the resources operating in the different areas of the Company.

The courses can be provided directly in customers' premises or in Italgas Training Centres in Asti, Rome and Naples.

In 2003, the Centres trained more than 11,000 people with over 120.000 teaching hours. Moreover, the Centres are certified to train polyethylene pipe welders, in accordance with the UNI 9737 regulation, and supervise the preparation of steel pipe welders, in conformity with the UNI 4633, UNI 5770 and UNI EN 287 regulations.

The end-of-course welding exams and the issuing of the relative certification is carried out by the Italian Institute of Welding.

Training activities are directed at technical sector operators in the field of safety and control of gas distribution systems and equipment, besides all other professional people: from personnel having direct contact with the Customer to organisation, from the commercial and sales sector to IT systems, and personnel directly involved with the installation and inspection of internal systems.
