Protection of Privacy
Italgas recognises that the correct management of personal data is a value of fundamental importance and therefore intends to pay maximum attention to protecting the personal data collected and processed as part of its business activities.
The European legal framework on personal data protection received a complete overhaul by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “Regulation”), which entered into force on 24 May 2016 and applies directly from 25 May 2018.
Following the regulatory action by the European legislator, the Italgas Group reviewed and updated its governance system for personal data, defining a Data Protection Organisational Model inspired from the Regulation’s requirements and a Compliance Standard on data protection to outline the principles applied to processing and formalising the roles and responsibility within the corporate organisational structure.
On 7 May 2018, the Board of Directors of Italgas S.p.A. (the parent company) appointed Agostino Limonta as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Italgas S.p.A. and in general for the Italgas Group, in relation to the overall data processing carried out by the Group companies. On May 13, 2019, the Board of Directors confirmed Agostino Massimo Limonta as DPO.
The DPO, as the reference for interested parties and the point of contact for the supervisory authority, can be contacted at the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Consequently, after this web site is visited, data relating to the persons identified or identifiable can be processed. For those persons, note that the Data Processing Controller is Italgas S.p.A., with registered office at Via Carlo Bo 11, 20143 Milan.
