What is Ideas 4 Italgas?
Italgas, in 2020, launched an open innovation programme to select the best national and international Start-ups and SMEs to support the transformation and sustainability of gas distribution networks. Thus was born the ‘Ideas4Italgas: Gas grid of the future’ programme.
The 2022 edition, compared to the previous ones, introduces new research through the formula of permanent scouting: a “radar” always active on technological and entrepreneurial novelties. The areas of interest are: digitalisation (cloud, edge computing and IoT devices), analytics and data management, operation & maintenance, grid monitoring, metering, sustainability and circular economy, biomethane, hydrogen and synthetic gases.
The research is mainly oriented towards international Startups and Scaleups (with a focus on Europe and Israel) that develop products and services based on sustainable and original business models in line with Italgas’ strategy.
Open innovation is an approach that can prove to be strategic as it enables companies to grow faster, make efficiencies and above all think differently.
