Who is Italgas?
We are a Network Tech Company at the service of the community and territories, leader in the gas, water, energy efficiency and IT sectors. First operator for the distribution of natural gas in Italy and Greece, third in Europe. In the Italian water sector we serve 6.2 million people directly and indirectly. A Group projected towards the future with clear growth and development objectives, an important investment plan for the progressive extension of services and the development of efficiencies through the adoption of digital technologies that make network management increasingly effective every day and that prepare, in particular, the gas infrastructure for the arrival of renewable gases such as biomethane, synthetic methane and hydrogen.

The transition is at the heart of our business strategy, with initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and improve environmental sustainability. Thanks to the digitalisation of networks and the adoption of advanced technologies, we monitor and manage the energy efficiency of infrastructures, reducing methane emissions to a minimum.

Technological Innovation
We are at the forefront of technological innovation with the implementation of advanced systems such as DANA for remote monitoring and control of gas distribution networks. We have developed "Nimbus", the "H2 ready" smart meter, unique in the world, compatible with different types of gas, capable of processing and measuring quantities of hydrogen above the average on the market, as well as improving the accuracy of the measurements, the efficiency and safety of the service. We use artificial intelligence and big data solutions to optimise network management, ensuring a more secure and sustainable service.

Digital Transformation
Digital transformation is a key element of our strategy with an investment plan that envisages the digitalisation of 90% of the network by 2024. The DANA platform represents the heart of this transformation, allowing 24/7 automated and remote control of the network, improving operational efficiency and reducing risks associated with infrastructure management.
