Water: our commitment to the water sector
Nepta is the Group’s company in which the activities of the water sector have been concentrated. We want to bring water services to levels of excellence.
Since 2023, we have also been a reference player in the water sector
Nepta is the Italgas company where the Group’s water-related investments and activities have been consolidated. Our presence in Italy is growing, where we directly serve 5 municipalities in Campania and indirectly numerous municipalities in Lazio and Sicily.
With Acqualatina we manage the integrated water service of 38 Municipalities of the ATO 4-Southern Lazio.
In Campania we are concessionaires of the management of the water distribution service in Caserta and in 4 municipalities of the province; through Acqua Campania we manage the Aqueduct of Western Campania, including the S. Sofia system, and the related activities of collection, purification, supply and transport of drinking water.
In Sicily, through Siciliacque, we take care of the collection, accumulation, purification and adduction service.
Services for the water sector

Construction of new works
Our goal is to provide the territories with state-of-the-art water networks for the technologies used and the efficiency of the services provided to the communities.

Remote network remote control system
We want to create a unique and digital integration system that enables remote network control.

Sustainability
We have planned interventions to reduce energy consumption in line with the Group's sustainability targets.
Water Bonus
The water bonus is a discount applied to the water bill for households in situations of economic hardship, allowing them not to pay for a minimum annual amount of water per person. The bonus, which can be combined with both the gas and electricity bonuses, is valid for twelve months.
The water bonus guarantees the free supply of 18.25 cubic meters of water per year (equal to 50 liters per person per day, corresponding to essential needs) for each member of the household registered in the civil registry. The reduced tariff applied by the service provider is not uniform at the national level and depends on the tariff structure approved locally; therefore, the value of the bonus varies depending on the service provider/area in which the service is managed.
Investments in the water sector
The investments immediately aim to reduce water losses from the networks and reduce the energy consumption necessary for the efficient management of services. The future lies in the digital transformation of networks to improve service and return value to the territories served.

Water networks
Nepta promotes innovation and efficiency in the sector with digitalization and sustainability interventions.
