Eurogas General Assembly and REPowerEU Round Table
On June 9th, 2023, the Eurogas General Assembly returns to Italy,
the event in cooperation with Italgas.
The Event
The General Assembly of Eurogas, the European association that brings together companies operating in the gas sector in Europe, returns to Italy after 12 years.
The 2023 Assembly, organised in collaboration with Italgas, will take place next Friday 9 June at Palazzo Wedekind, in Piazza Colonna, Rome.
Discussion will focus on:
- objectives of the association;
- approval of the annual budget;
- election of the President and Board members.
The General Assembly will be preceded by a roundtable entitled “REPowerEU: Decarbonisation and Security of Gas Supply” to discuss the centrality of the gas sector in the perspective of the decarbonisation of economies and policy and regulatory choices with a view to a secure, sustainable and competitive transition.
The roundtable will be opened by a message from the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Picchetto Frattin, and a keynote speech by Ruud Kempener, Cabinet Member of the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson.
The discussion will be introduced instead by Nunzio Ferrulli, Chief Institutional and Regulatory Affairs Officer, Italgas; while the roundtable will be moderated by Alessandro Speciale, Rome Bureau Chief, Bloomberg
