Fabio Barchiesi

Fabio Barchiesi has extensive experience in the Financial Services sector, having held senior positions in M&A, Capital Investments, Business Development, Organization, Project Compliance, and Cost Management.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, an Executive MBA from LUISS Business School, and an Executive Master in Planning, Strategy and Control from Bocconi University.

He is currently Deputy General Manager of CDP, where he is responsible for the Departments of Investments, Human Resources, Transformation, and External Relations. In this role, he ensures the implementation of corporate and Group strategies related to venture capital and investment fund activities. His responsibilities include overseeing M&A transactions, the disposal of equity interests in funds or other investment vehicles, and the evaluation and coordination of related operations both in Italy and abroad.

From 2021 to 2025, he served as Chief of Staff to the CEO and Head of Strategic Planning and Initiatives at CDP. From 2023 to 2025, he also held the role of Director of Development, Governance and Business Equity at CDP Equity, where he managed major strategic equity projects and supported the company in the execution of its Industrial Plan.

Previously, he was Director of Organization and Services at CONI Sport Lab – CONI Servizi (100% owned by the Ministry of Economy), and later General Manager at CONI Sport Lab – Sport e Salute (also 100% Ministry-owned), where he led the restructuring, relaunch, and strategic repositioning of the organization.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. and as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Italian Technology and Growth Fund (FITEC). He was also a Board Member of CDP Immobiliare SGR from 2022 to 2024.
