Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are committed to our employees to value diversity, support equal opportunity and inclusion.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At Italgas, we value every individual by fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace, grounded in equal opportunities and the protection of personal dignity. In line with our Code of Ethics and DE&I Policy, we view diversity as a core value and a vital asset to our company.

In 2023, we launched a change management program dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion, achieved the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification on gender equality, and implemented widespread awareness initiatives across the organization.

Supporting these values, over 70 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Ambassadors operate throughout our territories, representing various dimensions of identity: gender, age, culture, sexual and emotional orientation, and disability.

We collaborate with organizations such as ValoreD, STEM by Women, and Parks – Liberi e Uguali. Since 2024, we have also been a founding member of PARI – Together Against Gender-Based Violence, an inter-company initiative aimed at training and raising awareness on the cultural roots of gender violence.

Our commitment extends to Family Friendly policies as well, including our participation in the Promama project and the addition of five extra days of paternity leave beyond legal requirements.

Finally, following our expansion into Greece, we established a group of Ambassadors in the new territory to promote integration and intercultural dialogue.

    The certification for gender equality

In 2023, we took an important step in our D&I journey by obtaining the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for gender equality for Italgas S.p.A. We now have the ambition to maintain or increase the certification score in the coming years, and to include another Group company in the certification scope by 2024.

In addition, we intend to organize every year:

    • Employee engagement projects and initiatives on diversity and inclusion issues
    • recruiting initiatives dedicated to women who have pursued STEM education.

    • Training events, such as 3Days4Inclusion and a webinar on inclusive language
