Veronica Vecchi

Veronica Vecchi is Associate Professor of Practice of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is contracted professor in Long Term Investment and Financial Management at Università Bocconi.
At SDA Bocconi, since 2017 is Chair of the Advisory Board and researcher of Masan (the research unit dedicated to the public procurement in health), since 2015 she serves as Director of the specialized program in management of public procurement and contracts in health, since 2014 she is Director of Executive Education at SDA Bocconi Asia Center and since 2015 Director of the International Executive Masters in Business (IEMB), since 2013 she is Director of Impact Investing Lab and, since 2005, she is director of programs (open market, custom and master) on public private partnership, local development and public financial management. She has run numerous executive education programs, researches and consultancy projectsfor Institutions and private companies.

Her research activities focus on public management; public private partnership for infrastructure and business development; project finance; business government relations; impact investment and social innovation; public policy and management for entrepreneurial development and competitiveness; financial strategies and evaluation for public investments and infrastructures. She is author of numerous books, among the three international edited books, and articles. Her works have been published in Economia & Management, Health Policy, Public Management Review, Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis and Public Money Management, Journal of small business management.

She is external faculty affiliate at Cornell University, editorial board member of OCAP (Osservatorio sul cambiamento delle amministrazioni pubbliche) and of International Journal of Competitiveness. She also serves as reviewer for many scientific journals, including Academy of Management, Public Management Review, Economia & Management, European Journal of Operational Research and Health Policy. From 2015 to 2018, she served as member of the Italian Healthcare Ministry board for the assessment of investment projects; she has been consultant to African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, Interamerican Development Bank. Since 2012, she actively takes part to institutional groups, within -among others- the Italian Treasury Ministry, on public private partnership. Since 2005, she has been collaborating with Italian local authorities, healthcare organizations and Regional Authorities in structuring and assessing public private partnership projects.

Veronica earned a Degree in Public Administration and International Institutions from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. in Public Administration at University of Parma.
